Strider 12 Classic No-Pedal Balance Bike Review

When I first got my hands on one of these balance bikes, I wondered if it would really be useful for my kids. I learned to ride on two wheels without a balance bike after all. Granted, balance bikes did not exist back in the days. But once my 3 year old started using he’s brand new balance bike, I saw all the potential in these things.

A balance bike is an amazing tool for kids learning to ride a bicycle. According to amazon.com. the Strider 12″ Classic No-Pedal Balance Bike is the #1 selling, most highly rated balance bike in the World! After all this is the classic of the balance bikes. The Strider Classic is available in four colors: pink, green, blue and red. The seat and handlebar are easily adjustable for riders aged between 18 months and 5 years old.

If they can walk they can ride!

The simplified design of the Strider Classic helps kids build confidence rapidly in their riding skills by allowing them to have their feet on the ground and progress at their own pace.

The unique design of this balance bike teaches young children balance on two wheels right from the start, avoiding developmental delays typical with other tricycles or ride-on toys.

I have seen toddlers on these bikes enjoying the process of learning how to ride.

Fully adjustable

The height of the handlebars and the seat are fully adjustable on the Strider Classic. Using the included 5mm wrench you can adjust the saddle height to be as low as 11″ of the ground, allowing younger riders to learn as well.

No flat tires

The tires are made of EVA polymer, they are super light and durable.

Even if these are not inflatable tires, still they offer a smooth ride and best of all they will never go flat.

What previous buyers had to say about the Strider 12″ Classic?

Forget training wheels – a balance bike is the way to go. I liked this model because it was lightweight and seemed to hold up well. Solid tires are probably good for young riders, no need to worry about flats or tire pressure.

They are over 205 customer reviews of the Strider 12 inch Classic on amazon.com at the time of writing and they had awarded an average of 4.8 stars out of 5.

The customer reviews on Amazon are positive overall, but there is one niggling point raised by some customer regarding the seat that is designed for younger riders aged between 18 months and 3 years old. For bigger kids, Strider offers a XL version of the saddle that can be purchased separately.

Conclusion

With quality products and a good reputation Strider sits on top of the balance bike charts, I would recommend you have a look at the Strider Sport balance bike as well if you are looking for a little extra protection for you kid and for easier adjustments.
